Antonio de Delicado

 "Greetings! Antonio de Delicado, is my name! Where am I from? Oh, well, I am from the South. Where I was born and grew up is a minor detail. I move about quite a bit these days and do not really have a place I call home. What's that? What do I do? I am an adventurer. I feel passionately about my freedom to go where I will when I want so I can run into whatever adventure Najm might have planned for me. I offer a helping hand where I can, and if I see a damsel in distress there is a good chance I will save her. Secrets?! *uneasy laughter* I-I...I am not hiding or running from anything. That's not what you asked? Oh...well... Anyway, as I was saying, I am rather good with a sword, and I do like to use my whip on occasion. The occasional pint of ale, game of cards, or dance are all things I enjoy. Also, there is something to be said about a good pair of leather boots."

Antonio is the only son of the reigning king and queen of Elversult. He has one younger half-sister who is in her teens.

On multiple occasions Antonio has run away from his princely duties, but he always managed to be caught by his father’s huntsman, Jasper, and brought back home. This time he has made it all the way to Waterdeep with no sign of Jasper. The cause for his desertion this time is the arranged marriage to Cynthia, the Duchess de Barbarac of Amn, a wealthy woman who controls many of the lands south of the kingdom. He opposed the marriage because he did not love her, though she was more than willing to marry him.

Having grown tired of the arrogant and haughty attitudes surrounding him at the never ceasing political dinners and dances, Antonio seeks an adventurous life where he can be free of nobility. Though, by no means has that changed his taste for the finer things in life, nor the company of ladies. He has set out to be seen as a hero of the people, and prove to himself that he can survive just fine on his own without the coddling of his family.
